More Kevin Firsts

• Reading Books. Today was the first day he opened a book, turned to a page then "read" (from memory) words on that page. Then he turned to another page and "read" those words too. Guess the book: "Say...work...packs," and "much...hard."
• Putting clothes away. We did laundry yesterday, and Kevin's clothes were still on the couch, folded. Today, with Merri distracted online, Kevin took all his clothes into his room and put them all in his middle dresser drawer. Unfortunately, they weren't properly sorted, and he couldn't shut the drawer because they were piled too high. Maybe a few more weeks and he'll be able to do that chore by himself.
• First Compliment: On Tuesday, Merri and I were dressed up to go out. Kevin looks over to Merri at the dinner table and says "Nice, shirt, mommy!" After Merri thanked him, Kevin looks at me and says "Nice, shirt, Daddy!" (It's not like Merri and I compliment each other all the time, either. He just picks up on more stuff than we realize.)
